Biology/LH ques
I have PCOS. Is it possible to trigger an OPK as a LH surge, indicating ovulation in 24-36 hrs....and not actually ovulate?

amy....unfortunately with PCOS it is possible. due to the nature of PCOS the LH levels in women with it tend to fluctuate a lot during the cycle. unlike women who generally get an LH surge just before they O, a woman with PCOS can have false LH surges due to the cysts "tricking" the body into thinking it's about to O.
that said...i've known women here (with PCOS) who say that for what ever reason OPK's are accurate for them. i think one of the best ways to figure things out would be to throw temping into the mix because that'll definitely help clarify whether or not you're really O'ing.
