HSG Questions.....(m/c mentioned)
Oaky, so dh has finally started to feel the pressure of the IF issues and is asking me all these questions that I don't have answers to. I have most of the answers but not to the hard ones that I haven't even contemplated yet. So anyway, he & I are wondering that when I have an HSG (hopefully next month) and I have blockages in my tubes can they do anything about that? And what are the blockages made up of? I suggested left over tissue form O but I wasn't sure. Also, how can some blockages be knocked free by the HSG? Is it because they aren't as big or because of what they are made up of. Are blockages scar tissue and from what? I told him from m/c, cysts, endo......he totally bombarded me. He is getting so frustrated and I feel bad but I also wanted to say "Hello, wlecome to my world." He is especially frustrated because it seems all of my problems started after my m/c 2 years ago and if that's why I have to have an HSG then our ins should cover it but I told him my chart says specifically "because of IF and HSG is recommened" so we are screwed by that even though my O & AF pain is noted as well. Anyway, any answers would be a huge help. Thanks!!!
Julie

Dina-
Thanks!!! I printed it out and will give it to dh to read. He pretty much deducted that it would be scar tissue but I never even thought about what a blockage consisted of. Thanks again!! Julie |

Friday it is....
I am scheduled for friday at 12:45pm to check in then procedure at 1pm. I am SO nervous. I am still having pain even after AF is over & I just hope its calmed down by then so it can be as unpainful as possible. Dh is totally nervous too. I had to set it for a day that he could drive me and be there-he insisted it be that way or no deal!! He is really having some issues lately w/all of this. He did a bunch of research yesterday and asked me a ton more questions. I think its because all of his friends are having babies or their wives are pg-which is tough. His best friend's wife just told us they are pg w/#2 and it was hard on both of us-this is their 2nd since we've been ttc. It was worse because they did it in such a tactless way-UGH!!! Anyway, dh is concerned that the HSG will knock us out of the ttc running this cycle but I told him that may not be true. Plus, its been 24 months since the m/c so really how "in the running" are we each cycle? Anyone know if the HSG wipes us out for this cycle? He also says that maybe using some more scientific methods to have a baby might be something he is more willing to consider now-great news because before he was adament he didn't want to go there. I'll let you know how it all goes and any advice for this procedure is appreciated!!
Leslie-I didn't ask the Dr's name so I guess I won't know until I get in there. Fingers crossed for me girls that I get good news from the HSG!!! You will all be like the 2nd to know-I have to call my sis first or she'll kill me-lol!!! Julie Last edited by jules75; 10-24-2006 at 11:03 AM. |
