BCP question

I know, strange to be asking questions about birth control pills here, but I thought maybe someone could help me out!

Just as I thought, I have a nice big ovarian cyst, so I'm out for this cycle. Dr. put me on the pill instead which will hopefully resolve the problem, and we'll be back to TTC next month Dr. told me to start the BCP that day (which was the first day of my provera-induced AF). It is a 28 day supply -- 21 "active" pills plus 7 "inactive" pills. Silly me, I threw out the instruction materials, and now I don't know when to expect AF at the conclusion of the BCPs -- will it be during the 7 days of "inactive" pill or once I've finished all 28 pills?

I'm asking 'cuz DH and I are trying to plan a little get away, and I would really prefer for it to not be "that time of the month"

AF should arrive during the week of inactive pills. People vary and therefore responses to the pill vary as well, but taking it at the same time every day can help it be more effective and ensure that you get AF towards the beginning of the inactive week as opposed to after it.

(was that spoken too much like a Planned Parenthood nurse???LOL)

Hope this helps.

you should get AF during the week of placebos.
