So here's the deal. This is the 12th month DH and I have been actively trying to get PG. AF was due on Wednesday, and sure enough, that evening, I had some very light pink on my TP. So I manage to convince myself that it's okay and that we will just chill out and be okay with it.
Thursday comes around...just some light pinkish brownish spotting...no biggie...not unusual for me. Friday I was expecting the flow to pick up as it usually does, and thus far (mid-day on Saturday) it has pretty much come to a halt. My body has done confusing things to me before (which I attributed to being extremely stressed about something totally unrelated), but my periods had really been quite regular over the last several months, and I haven't been going through anything stressful lately. I always hate the disappointment of a BFN, so I really hesitate to take a test. But then, maybe I should take one. What would you do?

Hi there
: I would definitely take the test now. And I would tell myself that it could very well be negative so that my hopes don't run wild. After all, unless you are SURE about when you ovulated, then you could be testing too early (if you ovulated later than you thought, than your AF would be due later than you thought). And if it's negative, just wait a few days and test again. And if it's positive, celebrate !Good luck and let us know how the test comes out+++++++++++++ Maura |

Hi Maura!
I just took it and it appears to be a negative. You're right about the ovulation thing - after all, if this spotting I'm getting is implantation bleeding then the HCG likely wouldn't be concentrated enough to give a positive result. I'll try again in a few more days if my flow doesn't pick up. It still hasn't picked up though...the longer it's like this the more confused it's making me. I'm trying not to get my hopes up. Thanks so much for your support. ![]() Jenny aka twilightstar |

Oh Jenny, I feel your pain! Until last month (when I was on Clomid) I had, on average, 35 day cycles. The shortest I would go is 33 and the highest, 37. I charted for a year and a half with cycles that long. I thought I was pregnant every month - it drove me nuts!!!!! I give you KUDOS for controlling yourself. I peed on a stick so much, I seriously think we own every single on of the manufactures of HPTs LOL
I'll sending you positive vibes!!! SMILES |

AF decided to finally show up yesterday. I'm okay with it...well, maybe a bit bummed out. I'm still scratching my head over why the days and days of spotting. My sister told me she had something similar going on and that it was due to low progesterone. I may have to look into some natural progesterone cream or something.
