Exclamation High Fertility ALREADY???!!!

This cycle we are using a clearblue easy ovulation monitor. Today is cd8 and lo and behold it showed 2 bars meaning I am at high fertilty! Good grief!
(I have 28 day cycles thanks to clomid)

I just took my last clomid pill last night too. Maybe this is why we didn't catch the eggie last cycle. We were too late! So all that said is it even possible to O say around cd11 or 12?

Fingers crossed for us all! Baby dust!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know how clomid effects fertility monitors, but i DO know that they will give false +'s on OPKS if taken too soon after the last clomid pill. The manufacturer says to wait atleast three days AFTER the last clomid pill to start OPKs.

Do you still have the instructions with your monitor? Maybe it says?? Hopefully someone else has some insight!! I'd bms just incase

Hi there my doc told me not to start testing for 5 days after you took the last clomid pill as it will cause false positive OPK.. I did the same thing one time and it was a false positive.. Thought I would let you know.....

Hi there! I would ALWAYS have the HF with the monitor while on clomid. The month or two I didnt take clomid.. It went up ALOT slower. It just means it is picking up the estrogen and the clomid is in your system. What I used to do was start testing about 5 days BEFORE I would O. I got the timing down really well and never missed the PEAK. I also didnt O until about CD 16-18.. so I started testing later to help cut the cost down on the sticks!! Best Wishes!!

Hi there: The others have given you good advice (BMS just in case, but keep testing and making sure that you confirm your true LH surge and don't stop BMSing too soon in your cycle), but I just wanted to say that yes, it is possible to O around cd 11-12. My friend O'd on cd SIX and conceived her ds! That said, with Clomid, the chances are that you'll O later than usual, not earlier (many women on Clomid don't O until cd 20 or later).

Good luck and keep us posted++++++++++++

I agree with Kat. The monitor is picking up the higher level of estrogen which it associates with the estrogen surge before the LH surge. I sometimes go straight from low to peak, and other times have a day or two at high and then peak. It just depends on your estrogen levels. I O between CD 11 and 13, so it is possible, but I am not on clomid, so I can't speak from that standpoint......
