frustrated

CD 18 and still no o...first month after a procedure to help induce o, such high hopes, but losing them quick...
do we ever stop being disappointed, or does it at least wane?

hi sammer....

are you taking clomid? what is an average O day for you? many women O later than cd 18. can you give us a little more background? i wouldn't throw in the towel at cd 18, i think there's still time.

the disappointment is totally understandable. unfortunately many of us here no firsthand how you feel. the IF road is a grueling one. hang in there.

Hi Dina,

I am on Clomid (for the past 6 mths) and metformin but haven't had much luck ovulating. I actually did better when I was just on the met. I think I've gotten positives twice since my ob added the clomid. When I did, my average date was 16, that's why I was ready to throw in the towel. Now that I hear that later o is common, I won't give up hope yet! Thanks for the reply...

sammer...yes...clomid tends to delay O to between cd 17-22. i would think O'ing 2x in the last 6 mos would require further evluation. has your doc brought up increasing the dose? does he monitor to you to check your follies?

aye, that's frustrating and i'd honestly want a little more agression, KWIM?

Dina,
I'm on 150 mg, and just had drilling done on my ovaries this month in hopes of helping things along. That has been mydocto's choice of action at this time. I think like you, though, and have been considering asking to stop the clomid since it doesn't appear to br working. I go for a post coital next month (which I think should have happened a long time ago, but what do I know?) so I'm giving this doctor one more month. Thank you for the responses, I'm fairly new to this site. It's good to hear different approaches and advice,as this trek can be very confusing!
CD 20 and still no o on my monitor...I'm at high levels, but haven't gotten the big sign (it's an electronic monitor)...anyway...I haven't lost hope yet.
