opk's & hcg trigger?

Hi. I am currently on clomid 50mg days 5-9, metformin 1000mg. The doc told me that he will do U/S to check if I have a good follie. If everything is good he is going to prescribed an hcg trigger. The question is: Is it useful to do opk's if I'm going to do a hcg trigger?... I have some cheap internet ones in my house, but I don't know if I should used them. CD10 for me here. Every day I'm taking my temperature the same time and checking my cm.

Thanks for any advise.

Good question. I'm not sure. They are doing the trigger since you won't trigger on your own. Do OPKs normally work for you?

i don't think it's "necessary" to do the OPK when triggering, but it certainly can't hurt. generally speaking a trigger brings about O at approx 36 hours later. you can always do it to verify what's going on...KWIM?

good luck!!!

Dkny- thanks for the info. Maybe I used them to know what is going on.

Wan2b3: I have used them but because I have irregular cycles they haven't work for me, but now that I am in a medicated cycle I was thinking to try it again. Maybe I used the ones that I already have just to know. I think because I have PCos the doctor is using the HCG Trigger.

Tomorrow is the U/S with the doctor and will know if I'm responding to the meds.

I see in another thread that you finally got a + opk. Good luck!...
