Question Need Opinions...what would you do? Please advise

Okay need opinions...I am trying to hold on to my zen, but I am losing it..
2nd cycle on Clomid.
Yesterday (Monday) was CD-14 - u/s showed one mature follie at 18x19mm and lining ready. Doc said I should surge soon and call if no surge in 3 days (I'm not sure if that is Wed or Thursday).
My o date is all over the place - typically unmedicated it is CD-24
last cycle (clomid) it was CD-19. I usually get a +ve OPK 2 days before O (except last cycle, I ran out of OPKs 3 days before O, so is topped testing)

So today is CD-15 and still no surge - If I was going to O on Thursday (estimated follie size of 24mm), I should surge today.

I'm thinking of testing tonight and tomorrow with SMU and if no +ve calling the doc for an appt and maybe a trigger.

Should I even be thinking about a trigger?
I usually O just fine
Will my O be too late even if I do get a trigger?
IS this cycle about to go down the drain?

i would definitely test again witht the OPK today. statistics show that most often our surges are detectible in the late afternoon hours.

with an O day of cd 19 last month, i would think you are still i the game. i wouldn't worry about a trigger just yet, especially since you typically O on your own.

if your doc told you within 3 days (on monday) i would take that to mean give it until thursday. you could get a surge today, and even tomorrow and still O on thursday.

stay positive. you have no reason to believe this cycle is going down the drain....it's way too early for that.

good luck

Thanks Dina -I guess I know all that, I just needed to hear it.
Even if something goes awry and I don't O -the clomid worked pretty well, so we can try again next month.

Hi there: I agree with Dina... I took the doctor to mean call if you haven't surged by Thursday (which means you could O as late as Saturday).... I think you are very much still in the running!

Good luck and keep us posted+++++++++++++

Thanks ladies. I really aprpeicate the support.
I guess I know I can still O, but if I was 18mm on CD-14, if I O much past CD-17, will my follie be too big?
I'm feeling the zen coming back -sort of.
