Yep I take it as well. I know some have some side effects to it but the first time I took it to get pg with my dd I didn't have any side effects whatsoever but this time around I have been having a little bloating and moodiness other than not much.. It worked for me! Good luck...

I'm 35, also unexplained and am nearing my first cycle on clomid. I took 100mg days 2-6, estradiol and crinone gel (prometrium). I do not take any sort of medication - in times of dire need I will break down and maybe take a tylenol here, a prilosec there. I seem to be sensitive to medications.
Going into this, I was freaking out - I HATE taking anything. The clomid really wasn't that bad - the side effects I experienced were defintely hot flashes!!!!!!!! and I experienced floaters in my eyes starting on day 3, but my allergies also kicked in on day 3 and i still have a little bit of the floaters (and lots of allergy activity). I took my pill right before bed and slept well. Just take it before bed and sleep away some of the side effects if you have any. Good luck!! Smiles! |

This is my second clomid cycle - I usually O on CD-24, the first cycle got me to CD-19 and we will see what this cycle brings - it looks like CD-17 or so now.
I had no major side effects -I seem to get bit@hy for a day or two after I take it. It can affect lining and CM so I took baby asprin to increase blood flow and thicken lining and Robitussen/Mucinex and EPO to help with CM -so far everything looks good, so I will probably keep doing the next time I am on clomid. This is really the start and i know how scary it was starting fertility medication, but of all meds it is the most mildest and for young people especially can be all you might need. I had no side effects from it. good luck and keep following your dream to be a mom.

It is so nice to have support with infertility it seems just crippling at times. I have a ten year old daughter and one MC in Nov of this year and I want nothing more then to get the chance to be a mother again... So keep us in your prayers and all of you will be in mine. I took my clomid on days 2-6 and then I started testing with OPKs on day 10 and tested everyday until I got a positive. I ended up getting three different brands because i wasn't getting consistent readings. I ovulated on day 15, which was early for me (I usually have 35 day cycles), but it seems like a lot of people tend to ovulate later.
Good Luck! SMILES! Oh, I also started temping. I didn't start until day 4, but it was early enough to see a pattern. I definitely saw the temp rise after ovulation...until I saw the rise, we kept having BMS to be safe. |
