Well we have a game plan :)

Saw my OB today and after telling her about my last 4 cycles since my D&E for blighted ovum (short LPs and 2 chemicals), she was glad I had come in to talk with her. We are doing a 7dpo progesterone test and will go from there. Hopefully this cycle with be a success and I won't need to look at another cycle, but if I do, she gave me the option of trying clomid CD 3-7 or taking Progesterone supps. (anyone have any advice on that?) She is leaning toward the clomid.

I feel much better after talking with her and knowing that we are being proactive from here on out.

A, glad to hear you have a game plan. It always feels good to know that you are doing something. I did clomid cd3 -7 and then progesterone suppositories 48 hours post O. Best wishes,
Pecan

When do you O?

If you O late, taking Clomid may help you O earlier and might lengthen your LP a bit.
I'm hoping to do both this month.

I'm a fairly early O'er. It's been between CD 11 and 13 since my D&E.

I sort of got my LP lengthened on Clomid
I still began spotting at 8DPO- but did get full AF until 12 DPO instead of 10DPO.
I wonder why your doc is making you chose...
My doc wanted Clomid by itself one cycle and if that didn't help, add in Progesterone, since if you get PG on the progesterone, you have to take it the entire first trimester.

Hi A: Given your history, I would definitely opt for progesterone supps beginning right after O is confirmed ... and I wouldn't wait until next month! I would ask your doctor to prescribe them for you now so that you can use them this month. No harm in taking them and it could really help. My friend who had recurrent m/cs, started taking prog. right after O instead of waiting for a ++HPT and she was successful in conceiving her son.

I'm glad that you'll be getting a 7 dpo prog. test.

Anyway, good luck this month and let us know how you're doing! What cd are you now, btw?

I may just do that Maura! Thanks! Now why didn't I think of that while I was in there??? LOL

I *think* she was leaning toward the clomid today because she is not sure if my issues are estradiol or progesterone related. From what I understand clomid covers both bases. It is possible that I may have enough hormones to produce an egg, but if my estradiol production is low, I may not get ready to accept a fertilized egg for implantation. It is also possible that I do have a LPD and am not producing the hormones the ovary needs to manufacture progesterone throughout the luteal phase.

We will know more with my 7dpo blood draw and I suppose she may change her stance at that time.

LOL, A: If I had a list of all of the questions that I wish I had asked at doctors appointments over the years, the list would run from my house to yours!

Anyway, I hope this cycle is the one where you learn more AND see a ++!

Best of luck and keep us posted++++++++++
