hpt questions... also, opk's as hpt's?

Does anyone ever use the digital hpt's? I tried one Sunday and it said "Pregnant". Then tried one a couple hours later - I'm not addicted, I swear.... - and it was "Not Pregnant". Thought maybe because it wasn't FMU and I was only CD13 (my chart says not to test until Thurs). Took one yesterday it was again, "Not Pregnant". EPT test was maybe/could be/i'm hallucinating very, very, faint +. Today another maybe/maybe not faint +. Any experience with any of this? I know I should just wait a couple of days, but oy. I just had my 5th m/c in January and Sunday was my due date so I was freaked and excited, mostly freaked. Today I feel like I've been stuck with a pin and losing all the helium - weeeeeeeee. Argh.

Also, I have read something about using OPK's as HPT's. Does this work? I've never had much luck with OPK's detecting my o.

Thanks so much!

Hi, so sorry about your recent loss. I am not familiar with the digitals at all. Are you on cd13 or 13dpo? I would say give it a couple of days and test with fmu. Not sure about using the opk as hpt. Check out www.peeonastick.com There is a whole section about that topic. Best wishes and hoping you get that bfp!

Sorry to butt in here but I was curious about how you said OPK's don't usually detect your O. Have they ever? I am wondering if I have the same prob b/c I have every other symptom of O but don't always get a + on OPK

Since my m/c in Jan, I've charted since Feb, been on Clomid since March, and used OPK's since March. I've only had one month that came even close to showing o. my charts clearly show o, and I've even tested 3 different times with different tests on the days I should with no luck.

Hi Keeuum: I'm so sorry to hear about your losses... have you had any testing for recurrent pg loss?

As for this month, I would get a beta...with your medical history you need to know what's going on here... tell them you had a ++HPT, with some other vague positives ... you can even tell them about the negatives ... but I think your doctor should give you a beta at this point rather than have you keep using these maddening HPTs!

Good luck and keep us posted++++++++++

Well, today is the day I'm officially "late" and I took another hpt, this one a definite positive. I've got a regular appt with my ob on tues and I'm going to call and request the beta and whatever else they want to do. I'm just kind of numb right now. And it will be a long time before I feel "safe" - my longest term m/c was 16 weeks. I appreciate all your help and concern! I'll let you guys know what happens next week.

Congratulations Keeuum!!! I would definitely suggest using Progesterone preferably natural progesterone cream from a health food store (not Walgreens or GNC) You may already know about it but it helps the baby's environment to become more secure and stable. Especially since you have been using Clomid and that is known to thin the lining.

I am becoming more excited about using Clomid in the next few months. Hopefully it will work for me as it has for you.
