Have a Question about HPT

Hi ladies I am 15 days post IUI. Yesterday I did a HPT and was negative. I am always right on dot with my AF and it was suppose to arrive today. Well AF hasn't arrived like I thought it would so I tested again and still a - negative results. If I still don't get AF by tomorrow I will do another HPT to see what the result is. What I was wondering has any of you had any problems with the HPT's with getting negative results even after 14 and 15 days post IUI. I have tested with First Response and these other two that I got on the internet. Just want to input on this cause I am so confused. I am right on the day for AF.. I don't want to get my high hopes up until I see two lines or a +. Or has any of you tried HPT's and they all failed after a few days of your IUI or IVF and here to find out you were PG and went on to have a healthy pregnancy...

Hi there: YES! I've seen a bunch of women here test negative at the stage you're at, despite being pg... If you can, wait another day or so and try again if still no AF. There's a study out of NC Chapel Hill showing 10% of pg women testing negative with HPTs at the time AF is due, so it DOES happen!

yes, with one of my pg's i tested at 14/15 DPO (and i'm totally certain of the O day) and it was neg. totally negative, not even a hint of a line! i tested 4 days later and got an immediate positive.

i just accounted it to late implantation. implantation can occur up to 12 dpo, so if you implant on the late side, it's very possible that you don't have enough hcg built up in your system yet to trigger a postitive hpt.

Maura- That's good to hear cause when I am on Clomid I am right on the day with my AF and nothing. I am glad to hear this cause I was worried something else was going on with my body....Thanks for you input I appreciate it..
