Hi Sassy: Boy, that's a powerful reaction to progesterone! I'm glad you're doing ok now, but if it happens again, I'd definitely stop taking it and talk to your doctor. Maybe you really don't need it at all if your levels were fine.

BTW, isn't your coverline 97.0? You draw it .1 degree higher than the highest of your previous 6 temps and I thought your highest pre-O temp was 96.9? Let me know what you think.

Best of luck and I hope you continue to feel ok!

Yeah, it was nasty - I think it was partially a panic attack due to my reactions before and mixed with the normal side effects. It really worked breaking up the dosage today - I still get waves of dizziness, but I can function, so that is good.

I finally uploaded my chart - but what worried me was this. I had it set to base my stats on temp + CM. I sporadically charted my CM - the few days of lotionyCM and when it was dry. With today's temp, it bumped my coverline up and said that I hadn't ovulated yet. When I set the program to temp and OPK, my coverline went back to what it originally was.

Here is the link to my chart with the settings on temp + OPK.

Thanks SOOO much for all of your help, kindness and wisdom. This really is overwhelming and it helps so much to talk and get advice!!

Smiles!

Hi Sassy: I'd go by temps and OPK for sure... I think cm is less reliable! Right now your temps are staying close to your coverline, but maybe over the next day or 2 you'll see them trend upwards... they don't need to go way up, but it's always reassuring when they move up into a higher range!

Good luck and keep us posted+++++++++++++

The dr should have given you the timeline for the HCG.... and I believe everyone else will state that these meds should be used under dr supervision due to the hyperactivity of the ovaries.... that is not a good thing...

MY OPINON: NOT A DR OF ANY KIND:
From what I have read... the HCG should be given at the first sign of a ++OPK.... then the progesterone usually about 2-3 days after O has been confirmed. If you havent taken the clomid earlier before, I would not suggest changing it because it can really change up when you O and you could be off.

This is my first cycle, so I really have no knowledge yet - too new and fresh for me. I am overweight (yet, strangely, none of my doctors have mentioned this as being a factor whatsoever). I have unexplained infertility (U/S, HSG, Bloodwork all normal, DH's workup normal too). I did not do the trigger shot, but my protocol was:

*Clomid 100mg days 2-6
*Estradiol 1mg starting day 10
*BMS every other day starting day 10 until after temp rise or with positive OPK test, BMS for three days
*On 3rd day of temp rise OR 3 days after positive OPK, start Crinone (progesterone gel) 1 applicator @ night (I do mine in the afternoon)

I did not do a trigger shot and this is only my first cycle, so I don't know how successful it will be. My sister did Clomid 2 cycles, 50 mg, no estridol or progesterone, no triggers and ended up having twins.

My cycles were almost always 35 days, but with clomid this month, I o'd on 15 (tested positive for o on day 13.)

From the research I did, earlier days of taking clomid = more follicles. But, my sister did her's 5-9. Most people I've read about have done it 5-9 or 3-7.

Again, I'm new to this and to me, it ALL seems like crap shoot.

I chose to do this first cycle without the ultrasounds, but are you getting checked out in between cycles? I know Clomid can really thin your lining AND can overstimulate your ovaries. My sister had to go in in between cycles and have an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok (she went to a regular OB/GYN). I'm sure I will have to do the same, especially since I was not "medically" monitored this cycle. (I go to an RE).

Be careful...you don't want to do more harm than good.

Smiles!
