I think I missed my surge grrrr

Today is CD 15....On CD 12 I got a faint line on the OPK.....On CD 13 in the afternoon, I got a more defined line but not +...cd 13 in the evening, back to neg OPK. On CD 13 I also had a ton of CM (tmi but it was stretchy and ummmm, gooey? sorry, don't have a better word). Totally thought that the OPK was going to be + that night and it wasn't! CD 14, yesterday, no lines again and no lines this morning.

Do you think my body geared up to O and decided not to? Or was my surge really short and I missed it overnight and I did O?

I guess I will keep dtd until about CD 20 just in case....If I did O, we must have caught it...We dtd on CD 9,10,11,13 and 14.

I really wish I was temping so I could know for sure when to start the NPC grrrrr.

Oh...had a really vivid pg dream last night...I dreamed that I took a digital test and it was negative and then I took a regular one and it was positive...I went to the doctor and my beta was 25. Hopefully, it is a premonition (sp?) and not just a dream!

kristina.....there seems to be a lot of this going around

i'm sure it IS possible to miss your surge, but i find it odd when you're testing 2x a day....KWIM?

in any event, you covered all of your bases with well timed BMS, and i would continue on as you plan.

temping can be a useful tool in conjunction with OPK's. often both methods together help put the missing pieces together.

in the event you want to start temping (i hope you won't need to ) let us know and we'll help you along.

best wishes....

Thanks....I don't like the OPK that I bought....This time I got them from sav-on-tests...I thought they were the same as the early-pregnancy-test.com ones...and they aren't! They were cheaper but they are much thinner and they don't appear to be working as well. Grrrrr. I always had luck with the other ones. So....I guess I will keep dtd and hope for the best. Next month if I need them, back to old faithful.

well i'm glad to hear that you've had no issues with the OPK's in the past. it sounds like it might be a matter of brand this time.

i know it stinks to burn through so much money with these tests. it can be quite a pricey habit. but sometimes it comes down to quality vs quantity. so if your previous brand worked for you before, i'd go back to it. but hopefully you won't need to

keep us posted!

p.s. Oh and if you see any ewcm or otherwise fertile-looking cm, then BMS just in case!

Hi Kristina,

I don't really have any suggestions, but I feel your pain. I've managed to miss my surge for the last 2 months. It is so aggravating staring at those lines sometimes!

good luck,
blue
