how accurate are these hpt ..it couldnt be for real
Ok..ive been battleing If for about 12 years ..I started taking metformin exactly 2mths ago today.
for the last year at leasts I have never missed AF , it was due around the 5th.
for the last 3 weeks my chest has been so painful & sore ..never like this before. I also had some mind cramping for a couple of days last week.

I have been unable to sleep becuase the chest pain was so bad , im a stomach sleeper.

so anyways..i bought a hpt today & just used it ..the test line is wicked dark , as dark as or even darker than the control line. Im not getting all excited becuase I couldnt imagine it could be this simple after 12 years of ttc.

I have no idea how accurate these things are & am afraid to get my hopes up for nothing.. can someone shed some light on these hpt please.

HOOORAY! Congratulations! HPTs that are dark within the testing period are rarely wrong... I'd say you're pg! Go get a beta and let us know how it comes back!

I am gonna see about getting into the dr.'s tomorrow for one of their tests.
It just doesnt seem possible that I could be ...i can even say the word.

I was sure to follow the instructions on the hpt , it said it may take a few mins to show the test line , but it turned dark immed.

what is a beta test anyways ? ..will I have to ask for one & can i get it from my primary care dr?

Awwwwwwwwww I can't see your test ( I'm not allowed *lol*) *sigh*.. I bet it is the most beautiful line ever Congratulations Sweetie, I have tears running down my face! I just love hearing Stories like this.. Just shows such faith , strength and determination!

Hi again! A "beta" is a shorthand for the test which measures HcG (the preg. hormone) in your bloodstream. It can be either quantitative (assigns a number to the level of HcG present) or qualitative (simple "yes" or "no" for presence of HcG). Any doctor can order one, so your primary care doctor should be able to order one for you. You can also go into any hospital and have your blood drawn, but then you might have to pay out-of-pocket, depending on your insurance.
