Dollar tree HPT (BFP faint line? ment.)

Hi gals,
Today I'm 8dp3dt.
I tested (using those sticks from the Dollar Tree store) and during the time frame that they give you, I've got a faint line.
Now I have my doubts what if it's an evaporation line (I've never used this cheappy ones before) or even worst, what if it's a remanent from the HCG shot!!! Could it be even though it's been already 14 days since the hcg shot?
I checked on that web site peeonastick.com, to compare my line with all the other one they show there, and it appears to me that the test doesn't get too dark in the early stages, could that be too, that the test isn't too dark?
I'm not telling anyone, this experience with faint lines happened to me before (but those from the past appeared after the time frame) and I remember that I felt terrible when I had to tell DH that I had misread the result and it was wrong....
Girls please what do you think? Does anyone have an experience to share!!!!??? Anything would be truly appreciated!!!
P.S (the same happened to me yesterday (using Anwer quick and easy) but I did not check the time frame then, so I don't know when the faint line appeared. So I consider it as an evaporation line.

I don't have any experience with Dollar Tree, but I have heard that they are very sensitive. As for the Answer, I have never had even a hint of a line if I was not pg!
Just because they are cheap does not mean they are not sensitive

Sounds like congrats may be in order!!!

Hi Olina,

I have had experiences with dollar store tests. I too got a very faint positive a couple of months ago. It was so faint that I missed it, but dh actually saw it. It was on cd30 of a natural cycle. My beta was 27. It ended up being a chemical. Just wanted to let you know they are pretty sensitive. Hoping good things for you,

Hi Olina! Wow, things sound very promising! I don't think that you still have any HcG in your system from the shot if it was 14 days ago ... so either you are pg or it was a false ++HPT. If I were you, I'd call your doctor and tell him/her that you've had 2 ++HPTs (two different brands) and see if you can get a beta. That way you'll know for sure!

I've never gotten an evap with dollar tree....I think it looks good! I would wait until tomorrow morning and get a more expensive test...

Hi Olina: Oh, I hope she moves it up! If you want to keep trying HPTs, though, I recommend ClearBlue Easy or e.p.t.

(both reliable).

Hi Gals,
It's me again. I tested today (9dp3dt) and got a light line too on the Dollar tree stick. I'm cycling in Argentina, so I don't have the choice of going to Traget and get another brand (I've got this before coming here) so now I'm stuck w/them. And what's even worst, now I'm doubting the result. What if it's some of the HCG shot (I had it 14 days ago) Could that be it? (why it's so light) how long does the trigger last? I remember that with my other 2 fresh cycles, by this time I was always getting BFN (can I rely on what happened to me in the past, as far as when the hcg disappeared from me)?

some HPT's just don't have a lot of dye in them. When I got my bfp, I used one of the internet cheapies. The day of my beta I got a light line, but beta was 125, way above where it sould detect.
Try not to read into the darkness.
