Question for Clomid girls (or anyone else!)
Does anyone know if nightmares are a side effect of clomid? I took the 3rd pill this morning and for the last 2 nights, I've had terrible dreams....I don't usually remember my dreams but these are clear as day. The only thing I could chalk it up to was the clomid. Also, I'm getting AF type cramps from time to time. Is that normal?

Kristina,
I dont know about the nightmares. I know that if your mind is focused on something (like a new start in treatment for example) it will run with it. I get af like cramps sometimes on clomid too. Sometimes early on, sometimes after im done with the clomid, sometimes near ovulation, sometimes the whole cycle through... . I tend to attibute it to the revving up of my ovary. GOOD LUCK!! and lots of ++++ thoughts! |

Thanks Julie...I think my mind really is running with it! I am trying my hardest to make this such a perfect cycle...Today I got my robitussin...I've got my NPC on hand....Pre-seed, extra vitamin B6, 20 OPK strips and 20 hpt's. I think I'm set lol. I hate when I get excited like this for a new cycle though....Sets you up for a bigger failure you know?
*sigh*

Hi Kristina,
Nightmares usually present the one thing that you have tried to avoid. One thing to do is to try to bring the thing that you don't want to have a nightmare about into your conscious mind. Sounds weird....but dreams are somewhat subconscious. Subconscious thoughts sometimes include the thoughts that you mostly try to avoid. But remember that MOST times dreams are a manifestation of NOTHING. Sorry to babble...but I used to have problems with my nightmares....as a result of PTSS (Post-traumatic Stress Syndrome). As for the clomid...I asked my doc about the cramps and he said it was the ovary getting ready and then recovering from stimulation. He said it was nothing to be concerned with. I hope this helps....I paid a psychologist a lot of money for the dream stuff LOL. Good luck
