seeing what happens

So Dh and I are going to be adopting soon so I am kind of on the down low on the whole ttc. We are by no means giving up and we are not going to adopt to get a baby. we have always planned to adopt through our state a special needs child. The child will probably be an older child. we were planning to have our own children first but since that is not happening we decided to go ahead and adopt now. While in the process they don't want you to get pg so I think we will stop all the opk's and temping until the adoption is final but I can't go on Birth control. If I do get pg then it is ment to be and we will have to do the adoption thing later. I am still going to come to this site because you ladies are so wonderful and I want to see how you are doing. Good luck to you all!

I'm not very familiar with adoption, but was wondering.. Why do the recommend you do not get PG, when trying too adopt? Either way, I wish you loads of luck in your Journey!

MCKMN, speaking on behalf of our experience with the adoption process, our agency asked us to avoid getting PG during the adoption process so that we would be more apt to bond with the new kidlet. We opted not to do BC because hey there is virtually no chance of us getting pg so we feel we are safe. Our agency reserves the right to terminate out application if we do get pg though so it's kind of a risk. I would imagine Angie's agency probably has similiar concerns. At the moment though everything has been put on hold pending the outcome of DH recent hospital stay and infection.

Good luck Angie!! I can't wait to be an aunt again either way and there are so many people in our family to love another child. I hope the process goes quickly & smoothly and you get the perfect child for you & dh!! You have so many cute kids to pick from the hardest part must be choosing-I don't envy you that job!! I am here for you no matter what and I support you 100%-any of those children would be lucky to have you guys as parents!!

Luv Ya-

Julie
