Question about OPT?

I used the OPT starting on day six because I usually ovulate day nine or ten. I used 10am as my time but it is hard to not drink therfore diluting the urine. Day six I had a faint line and they gradually got darker and were dark on day nine but a little lighter than the test line. Now, on day ten, it went light again. Is day nine a positive for the LH.? Did I just miss the highest level of LH either because I drank too much or the wrong time of day? Thanks for any help. JAS

Hi JAS: How do you know you usually O on cd 9 or 10? It's possible that your urine was diluted or it might be that you surged in between tests (it is said that many women surge in the morning and it shows up in urine by afternoon, which is why some people say to test in the afternoon between 12-3)... It's also possible that you were about to surge and then didn't (but will later)....Hard to say for sure!

If I were you, I'd keep BMSing regularly until you can confirm whether you've O'd (are you bbting? Can you get a prog. test?) just so you don't miss it if it hasn't happened!

Let us know how you're doing and good luck++++++++++

Maura, Thanks for your help. I know that I ovulate usually on 9 or 10 because I do take my temp and it is usually up on day ten or eleven and continues to rise. I always have sharp pains for a few hours also. My temp took a dip on day 8 to 97.6 and went up to 97.9 yesterday and 98.0 today. It will stay up till AF.
My temp charts are so the same every month it is boring. This is the first time I ever used the OPT. I wanted to make sure I was ovulating. I am grateful to you for you insight. Thanks again. JAS
