this sucks!!!!

Hi
Well my bleeding episode has concluded for now, i am just spotting alittle brown here and there. The doc took a beta and called and said it was bfn which rules out miscarriage, which i thought anyways cause i did get a normal Af 2 weeks ago and did get a pos opk on sunday. She has me on Aygestin till 14 dpo which i guess is a synthetic progesterone like provera, trying to kick my cycle back. She said since we had bms on sunday and i have a pos opk as well as a temp rise on weds.that i did o, but what sucks is that the blood probably either killed the sperm or washed it out right? She wants to take beta on monday to make sure i didnt get preggo this cycle as the Aygestin could harm a developing baby. I wish that this wouldnt have happend, I am so sad just thinking that my one and only pregnancy was my last chance. I love having my daughter but i really want to experience it again, I also dont know whether to go back to acu or not, i am terrified that sex again will make me bleed, cause that is when it started. I just am so sad, scared, bewildered, etc. I hate to know that i never had a chance this month, another one wasted as we approach 16 months ttc. I will visit an re at the end of this month but IUI, IVF are out of the question due to $ and a difficult hubby who is happy with one child.

Hi jd: That stinks. You know, when you get your next beta on Monday, what dpo will you be? If you got your ++OPK Sunday, then you may not have O'd until Tuesday, making you possibly only 6 dpo by next Monday, right? Even a beta could show a false negative at that point since you can implant up until 12 dpo. Is there any way you can delay the Aygestin until you are 14 dpo? I know it means waiting longer, but if there's any chance you did get pg this month, you don't want to be taking something that might harm a developing pg.

Just a thought.

Best and keep in touch++++++++++++++
Maura

Hi maura
my doc put me on the Aygestin to stop the bleeding so i really do need to keep taking it now. I was thinking of delaying the beta a couple days, but i was thinking an hpt taken later would be sufficient. I really dont think that i got pregnant this cycel cause all the blood and clots that were coming out probably either washed away the sperm or killed it. My husband has low motility anyways, so the good ones were probbably killed off, since lubes are toxic to sperm i cant imagine what blood does to them.
