Update 18dpo w/ HPT pic
Hi All,
I'm 18dpo today. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/c8b1 My temp is still above coverline and my HPT, I used clearblue easy, if very negative. No sign of AF, the spotting the other day has ceesed. I don't call the dr. until the 7th, I'm just stumped.

Hi Katie: Ok, I guess it's only 5 more days ... but if for some reason you can't wait, maybe you could go see the doctor sooner and then just pick up a prescription for Provera which you can wait to fill until 3/7!
Best of luck and keep us posted++++++++++ Maura |

Hi Katie,
I thought I replied about your chart, but I don't see it so I guess I didn't. I wanted to say that I don't see O yet - there is no clear temp shift. In your two ovulatory cycles, there is a clear and definite biphasic pattern which just isn't there this cycle. It looks more like the ups 'n downs of your previous anovulatory cycles. There's not a lot of points early in your cycle, but it looks like there's the same pattern late in your cycle. In an ovulatory chart, the temps after O should clearly be higher than the temps before O. Also, your post O temps have always been over 97.8 or so, you haven't reached that yet this cycle. I realize those previous cycles are a couple of years old, so your internal thermometer may have changed, but you should still see a biphasic pattern on an ovulatory cycle. Sorry to be negative, but that's my honest opinion.

Hi: I agree that O is not crystal clear
, but I think there are more temps in her typical post-O range than before the date set by FF. The cd 34 dip doesn't bother me because a lot of women get a dip aroudn that time due to a secondary surge of estrogen. And as for those other dips to the coverline, it happened to me THREE times when I conceived dd! It is too bad about the missing temps on cds 18-24, though, because they could have shed some light on this chart and whether there was a true rise or not!I hope, Katie, that you can some answers when you see the doctor on the 7th! Best of luck and keep us posted+++++++++++++ Maura |

Maura and Wantsbaby2
Thank you so much for your opinions. I know it would be helpful to see those missing temps. We were on vacation and since we wern't offically ttc I opted not to take my thermometer. I had a jump in my temp this morning and it confuses me more than ever. Wantsbaby2- I keep wondering and thinking that maybe I didn't O, but I did have a positive OPK and FF reflected that in my temps, so I'm pretty sure I O'd. This long LP is weird. Girls, could I have a cyst or something? I'm going to research, then I'll be calling the dr. probably on Monday. When I tell the nurse about this chart they'll probably want me to come in. Sigh

FF is only a guide. I used it for over a year and about 3 months in, I found out that if you give it too much info (e.g. CM info) it can be a bit misleading. Then, I used it strictly for temps, and it all made more sense to me (and the program didn't get confused).
When you tell the program that you had a + OPK, it looks for 3 temps in a row to be higher than the temps in the days after the + OPK. If that happens, it will make a red O-line on the day of the lowest temp before the three higher ones. However, looking at your chart overall, there is no obvious thermal shift (granted there are a lot of missing temps in the early part of the cycle). Until Friday that is............ It is possible that the OPK was inaccurate. For example, women with high LH often find that OPKs are unreliable as they can have several days of + OPKs, followed by several days of -, then + again. It is also possible to undergo all the hormonal changes of O without actually having O'd (eg. empty follice, cyst, etc.). A 7po prog test would be an indication of O. |
