Temp Question
I had my trigger shot last Thursday and the IUI on Friday. My temp on Wednesday was 97.2. It dropped to 96.8 on Thursday. I usually have a drop before O. The next day (Friday, IUI day) my temp was 97.7 and it has remained there. That is the normal post-O temp for me. Was the IUI done too late? I had an u/s on Thursday morning and the mature egg was still hanging around. I am afraid we did not catch it in time.

Is your natural surge being surpressed or are you being monitored for your natural surge with bloodwork or OPK's?
If you had a natural surge, its possible you may have O'd earlier than the IUI, but it would only be by a matter of hours since your Thurs. u/s still showed the follicle, so I don't think you should worry. The egg is fertilizable for several hours after its released. Did you do "back-up" BMS at the time of trigger? That's always a good idea, just to make sure there's sperm there incase you O early (unless you can't because of MF issues or the use of DS). Good luck! |

Hi Angie: I have heard of many instances where the trigger shot artificially raised temps the day after the shot, making it appear that the person had already O'd, when they in fact hadn't. If your follicle was still there on Thursday, then chances are the IUI was timed perfectly
.Good luck with your 2ww and let us know how it comes out !+++++++++++++++++ Maura |

Thanks. I am hoping for this one. It is my first cycle with injectibles. I think the re was hoping for more eggs but one is ok with me! No b/w was done this cycle. If this does not work I am going to request some b/w during the next process. I am using ds so I get one shot each month. Does anyone know how long an egg can survive? Does it depend on age and the person?
