Question CM Question?

Hey ladies just had a quick question. I am on my 2nd round of Follistim. Round 1 was a -. Anyways, I thought when you O'd you should have EWCM? I took my trigger on Saturday, the RE said I would O sometime today, probablly around lunch or so. Anyways, the question is I don't have EWCM, it's all watery. It was the last time I triggered as well on the - cycle. My RE won't give me the b/w or an u/s to check and see if I really did/do O. Does it matter I don't have EWCM? Also the RE says that I only have to have bms on the 2 days following the trigger in the AM. Do you think that is enough or should it be more than 2 just in case? Sorry for the questions, I am not very confident in my RE so it makes the cycles worse.

AB&W, you can't really count on cm. It varies from person to person, some have more cm than others, some just can't tell the difference between ew and watery (like me - I have never had ewcm that I know of, mine is more slippery and watery). As long as its not thick and opaque, which probably is not fertile, I'd say your fine.

Good luck!

Hi there: As Wantsa says, cm doesn't tell the whole story when it comes to O. You can definitely O without having obvious cm. However, cm is really important for sperm travel, so you want to make sure you have fertile cm. Some people take Robitussin (or Mucinex, which is guaifenesin in pill form) to improve cm. The other thing to keep in mind is that you might have more cm than you realize. Sometimes it's up near the cervix where you need it.

With respect to your RE not monitoring you to see whether you've O'd... I wonder why he won't? I think it's so important because you need to know whether the meds are working! Have you considered taking your bbt? You might find it helpful, in the absence of a cooperative doctor. And is there another doctor you could see?

Good luck and let us know how this cycle turns out++++++++++

Thanks for replying I feel better already! I put in for a referal to a new RE in town. I go see "her" on 6 March. Since we have Tricare (Military) I have to wait for the referal and go to who they say etc. But since I am going into the 2ww she is going to go ahead and see me, do the consult and wait the 2ww out with me to see if it works, then go from there. I have been taking the Robitussin though. I use to bbt, now I have stopped. I haven't been sleeping that great and get up 10 times a night so I thought it wouldn't be accurate so I stopped doing it. I will try to start back up though when I start a new cycle.
