Mason's Mom Level 1
Twisted Cervix

I just came back from my RE. My follicle went from a 19mm to a 24mm and yesterday (cd15) was a ++ OPK. My DH and I BMSd last night. My RE said my lining is nice and thick and then he went to do a cm test to see if the sperm is getting in there. When he put in the speculum, he discovered that my cervic's opening is turned to the right instead of straight ahead. He said that there may have been trauma during the C-Section of my son. Under the microscope he saw tons of sperm so he's happy that they're reaching the cervix. What does that mean when a cervix is turned like that?

So excited that this cycle seems on track so far. BMS again tonight and then prog level test next week.

fingers crossed!!!!

xxx's and ooo's
Nina

Hi Nina: I looked a bit to see if I could find anything about twisted/turned cervices, and couldn't find anything. I would think that if the RE thought it was a problem for ttc, he would have said something. I guess as long as the sperm can make it up through the cervix into the uterus, then it doesn't matter whether it's straight sailing or not, eh?

Good luck and keep us posted++++++++++++
Maura

Mine was to the left pretty far for a while, wasn't before and has gone back now. Dr, seemed to think no big deal, moves sometimes, and I was worried but seems ok now! [Also you can roll onto side so (cervix is facing down towards sperm) and rest there 20 min.?] luck!
