Hpt Help

This morning I did an HPT - one of those ultra early internet cheapies and a very very very faint line appeared. I did another one later and it looks about the same. The lines both appeared within 5 mins but they are so faint that to be honest I have to hold it up to the light to really see them. At first I was quite convinced they were positive, but looking now I think I may have made a big mistake - I even phoned my clinic and cancelled my next cycle.

Has anyone else had a positive (or false positive) HPT that you nearly have to hold up to be able to see? I think I am about 10/11 dpo.

Think I am going crazy. I know the answer is to test again tomorrow but that is a long way away. My clinic want me to go in for blood test tomorrow but with a line that faint (even if it was positive) would the blood test even be accurate. I feel so silly even telling anyone.

Sam

I think if you really saw a line, than there is a good chance it is positive. I tested a couple of weeks ago and the same thing happened to me, but as each day went by it got darker. I also bought The clear blue easy digital HPT where it says pregnant or not pregnant. I am almost five weeks now.

There is also a website if you google On POAS it will come up and show you comparison's on HPT lines.

Good Luck.

Louise

Sam, I ahve been in your shoes before. You have to be careful with thos internet cheapies because they already have a line you can see when you hold it up to light. I made that mistake a while back and I even kept it to show to my sister and there was a line but I was not pg. At 11dpo i think you still have a good chance of being pg but I can see your confussion. I hope it all works out for you and you get a really dark line tomorrow. Good luck and hange in there. Keep us posted!

Hi Sam: Sounds very promising!

I got really, really faint ++ at 10/11 dpo and persuaded my doctor to give me beta... it was 37.1.

At 10/11 dpo, you could still be implanting too, so it's SOO early! If you can, wait another couple of days and then try again.

Best of luck and keep us posted++++++++++++

Still confused

Thanks for all the responses. Tested last night and again this morning with an FRER and got an extremely faint PINK line both times and did another internet cheapie this morning which shows a line. The lines don't seem to have gotten any darker from last night to this morning which is worrying but surely (I now have done 5 tests) they can't all be false positives?

I don't think they are false ++++. I really think they are positives. They will not get darker overnight. But they will eventually. You probably just started implantation a few days ago and your body hasn't produced alot of HCG hormone yet, but just enough to start the faint pink line. Try the digital clear blue easy test. It will say pregnant or not pregnant. They are pretty accurate.

Good Luck!!!,
Louise

Thanks Louise, do you know how sensitive the Clear blue tests are? I have been using internet cheaper which supposedly measure 10iu and the fRER which I think measures 25iu. I am getting an extremely light pink line with both so don't know that I dare try a digital one yet as feel it will probably tell me I am not pregnant. Do you think? I think my period is due Wednesday (or maybe Tuesday) not sure. All I know is that I got a +OPK on the Monday and my LP is usually 14 days.

They are 25 sensitive. I am sure it will show up. It is now been 2 days since you started testing and there is more HCG in your body. It took like 4 to 5 days before my line got darker , but the Digital showed up the next morning after the very first faint line.

Good Luck, I can't wait to hear your good news.

Clomid question

hi girls! i just had a question about clomid side effects. i was on femara for a few cycles and got pregnant but sadly miscarried early in january. this is my second cycle on 150 dose of clomid. my re won't prescribe femara anymore. anyways, i did not have any major side effects from the clomid last cycle. i am currently on cd8 (taking pills 5-9). i had to have two fillings replaced at the dentist yesterday and was on local anesthesia (cd7). last night and this morning i have been very very nauseous w/ upset stomach, etc. my question is....do you think the anesthesia interfered with the clomid or am i just finally experiencing some of clomids bad side effects? if so, will it interfere with ovulation? any insight would be greatly appreciated. thanks you!

Hi parker: I don't know about the nausea .. if it continues, I would check with your doctor, but otherwise I would just chalk it up to the Clomid (and not the local anesthesia, which should have worn off yesterday)...

Best of luck and keep us posted+++++++++++
