Hey ladies...Thank you

Hey ladies,

I just wanted to post a message to you all, and thank you for all the advise you having giving me in recent months.

I haven't been here in a while, and feel I owe it to you to explain why.

Maura, I am sure you remember our last message. I wasn't feeling well at all.
Well now I know why...
Went to my medical Doctor last Tuesday (10/25) and had an EKG which looked fine. The Dr said I could possibly have anziety(spelling) or possible start of Depression.(I thought this can't be, I am not a depressed person and don't feel down about anything) He said it could be the baby making stuff...(I don't consider myself depressed over all that... I was also told by my Dr that I am 23 pounds overweight, and that I need to watch my diet and start losing a few pounds at a time.....

I was definately depressed after hearing that. But I thought hey it could be worse, I could be 100 pounds overweight.

So the next day I was asked to have blood work done...(was stuck 3 times before finally getting blood)

Okay here is the big news...BAD NEWS!

I am 34 years old (non smoker)
My cholesterol was 364, and my trigyliserides were 2275(should be no higher than 150, plus my hemoglobin was low 11.1 (this explains the headaches, and weak spells, and tiredness)
My medical Dr said that in all of his years of practice he has never seen numbers of this amount. He put me on 3 meds to try to control the levels. And said he was concerned about my heart, so I was sent for a stress test today...

I am still awaiting results, although the Cardiologist said it looked good.
(I have heart disease on both sides of my family)

Now in the meantime, Friday I went to my Gyn for an ultrasound. That confirmed I didn't have any cyst on my ovaries, they also did blood work(Finally)

The results from that were that I am not ovulating

Thats is after:
2 months of clomid @ 50mg
1 month of clomid @ 100mg
1 month of clomid @ 150mg
and 2 months of HcG injections.....

My Gyn said that one of the meds the Dr put me on, is not good to a fetus...(has been proven to cause sifficant harm)So I need to think of what I am going to do...(that is continue ttc not not take med or take med and end ttc)

My medical Dr called today and said he is concerned about my health and trying to conceive, he said he knows it is a huge choice, and a hurtful one I should say.
So we are doing my blood work again Monday to confirm that the previous test wasn't a lab error. At this point we will discuss the health of me conceiving...

Sorry this is a little long, but I knew you ladies would understand how I feel. I am so emotional over all this. And so hurt that I possibly have to end expanding my family....(I seem to cry all the time, and fear depression with set in, and I understand that is a condition that just takes over....) I am just feeling like haven't I been through enough....

I just want to thank all of you for being so kind to me.

Cindy

HUGS!! I know it could be very hard to choose between medicine and TTC... but maybe try the medicine and then TTX after a bit. Maybe your body needs to recover from some crazy things??!! I hope the lab was wrong and that you wont have to worry about it both!!

Hi Cindy

Hope there was a lab error. Best wishes for good results. If it isn't a lab error maybe you should get your health back up and then continue treatment. This time around with my Naturopath fertility treatment my Naturopath had me on detox for what seemed like forever and her analogy was you won't invite guests to your home if you haven't cleaned and prepared for them so that is what we are doing with your body, cleaning and preparing it for a baby.

Once again good luck.

cindy...i'm glad they're re-running your b/w. those numbers don't sound even possible. i realize any one could have high cholest, but those tri's sound totally out of whack. i really hope there was an error and you won't be faced with this difficult decision. {{{hugs}}}

please let us know how your lab tests go.

Hey ladies,

Maura= Yes I have high Cholesterol in my family (both sides actually)

The Dr said he was going to run test on my Thyroid, cause I have never had it checked and Thyroid issues can cause the tri's to be out of wack....

Praying.....

Cindy

PS THANK FOR ALL THE WARM MESSAGES...IT MEANS ALOT TO HAVE CARING PEOPLE LIKE YOU!
