Sometimes i get that way for no reason. my last dr said that there is so many things happening in your stomach it is hard to say what is going on and why. It will probably go away soon. Hope you feel better!

Hey Jules, I get like that too sometimes. Not sure why it's some months and not others. I attribute it to the corpus luteum which can sometimes cause cramping (or so I've heard)!

Good luck and keep us posted+++++++++

Thanks girls-let me reclassify the discomfort: it's more of an ache than cramping. I am sure all is good-just wondering if I was normal-LOL!!!

Hi again, Julie: Ache is a more apt description, at least for me ... kind of a dull ache near my ovaries...

I think you're normal!

+++++++++++++++++++good luck and keep us posted

Jules, since I had my son four years ago I get all sorts of aches and pains around ovulation. Some months are horrible and it doesn't go away until af. I've been told by a gastro doctor that it is hormone induced irritable bowel syndrome. (You don't need to have bathroom issues to have it.) I have other friends who go through the same thing during ovulation----I think this may be common but women chalk it up to ovulation pain. It doesn't happen every month and some months are worse than others. Anti-anxiety meds help control it if it is severe (IBS is serotonin related).

You probably are just having some ovulation twinges---but thought I'd share this with you and anyone else because it sure helped me feel better when I was in lots of pain some months. I was sure it was ovarian cancer!

Take care,
Lisa
