Where do you get a good BBThermometer
Alright ladies, I can from some of the temps you have posted on various threads that my basal body thermometer is crapp-o. I bought the cheapest one they had (I think the only one they had) at Walgreens a few years ago. Does it make a difference what brand you have? Maybe that is part of the reason why I put so little effort into taking temps, it doesn't seem very accurate to me. Mine does not go to 2 decimal places, I didn't realize that some of the m apparently do?

Hi Carrie: You don't need anything fancy ... I just used a regular digital thermometer that read to one decimal point (i.e., 98.1) ... you definitely don't need one that reads to two because you measure rises in tenths of degrees. Mine was a B-D thermometer.
Good luck !+++++++++++++++++ Maura |

Well allright then, I guess mine is fine. I am thinking I should replace it anyway, since it is quite a few years old and I imagine they run out of battery life at some point. That is all i need, messed up temps due to a dying thermometer. Now all I have to do is wait for my next cycle to start... ho hum

Hi,
I use the Petit Sophia thermometer and I love it. The cheapo didn't seem to work very well for me. It costs about $55, but it tracks six monthly cycles, has an alarm that goes off at the same time each day (for recording), and graphs the cycles so that I can see what is going on without charting. It is probably more than you need, but I love the thing. Jen |
