Ok for the past couple of nights I am having really bad shoulder pain I mean it feels like it needs to pop or something..is this normal and is it ok.....

i did not have shoulder pain when i was pg but i have heard of pg women having joint pains. I actually had leg cramps but that is all. Sorry i am not much help.

Jonni - not to barge - Have you had an u/s yet? Have you had any accompanied back pain with the shoulder pain?

Yes I have had an u/s it was fine i had a heartbeat and everything was great...back pain No I am fine it is just bothersome to have a shoulder that feel like it needs to pop....

Hi Jonni: The only time I had shoulder pain like you describe was after a lap (to rule out an ectopic) ... and that was from the air/gas? sent into the abdominal cavity during the procedure ... I'd call your doctor to see if he/she has any ideas!

Hope the pain subsides soon.... let us know how you're doing+++++++

Ya that is why I was asking about back pain- usually shoulder pain is a trigger for ectopic. But if you have already seen bean in the right place then it must be muscular. Call your DR - see what he thinks. I agree with Maura as always!

The pain doesn't come all the time I mean I have noticed it when I sleep it is like I sleep with one are stretched out straight underneath the pillow to make sure dh is still there lol security thing and then when I turn over it hurts because it is not stretched out..that is an example that I can give kinda...

I just looked up an etopic Pregnancy and it said out side the tube my question is.....is it possible to still have an etopic if you have seen it is where it should be???

Jonni: If you saw the h/b in the right place, then I wouldn't worry about an ectopic .. as I said before, my shoulder pain was the RESULT of the lap ... I didn't have any before the procedure ... apparently the gas/air they use to inflate the abdomen causes the shoulder pain .... and it went away when the gas/air dissipated ...

I would call your doctor just for peace of mind (and maybe some pain relief!) ....

THank you for the reassurance it is soooo nice to have you ladies its weird I don't really chat with the other prggers but i like to have advice from people who have went through this and ones who have not as well and maybe give them a heads up when they do go throught this.
