Question for those familiar with cervical position/fluid...Warning TMI
I'm embarrassed to ask this, but I'm so worried...anyway, I monitor my fertility with cervical position and fluid. Today when I checked my cervix it was waay open. I mean a fingertip-size. I've never had this occur before. Is this something I should be concerned about? I almost called the doctor. I had a D+C on 9/19. Thanks for your help.

Hi there: Did you check yesterday? What was your cervix like then? I'm assuming you've checked it since the D&C and it hasn't been open like this until now?
Also, what cd are you on now? If you are close to when you are likely to O, then I think your open cervix means that you are about to O! If at all uncertain, BMS !Good luck and keep us posted++++++++++++ Maura p.s. No harm calling your doctor, btw... that's what they're there for! |

Maura--it has been low, firm and closed pretty much since I started checking around 10/01. The cd is tricky b/c I had what I considered a period 5 days after my D+C (my D+C bleeding was brief and had stopped). So if that was CD 1, then this would be CD 33. I guess it could mean O, but my cervical fluid is creamy, not eggwhite. I am just suprised at how wide it is open. I've never experienced that before.
Ferret Mommy--so a fingertip isn't *too* open? ![]() BTW, thanks for the quick replies ladies. I feel a lot better already.

Hi again: I see; it's hard to know when your cycle resumes after a D&C ... When I had mine -- after a molar -- I don't know how long it took for me to get back to normal because I wasn't "allowed" to ttc then ... I wonder if anyone else has experience?
Because you don't know for sure, I would act as if you ARE ovulating . And a fingertip isn't too much !Good luck and keep us posted++++++++++++ Maura |
