M/C and af bleeding

I asked this on the General IF board but thought I'd ask here too. What kind of m/c bleeding is normal? I'm not having any pain, it's not heavy----but it started out like a normal af but for four days has just been red. I left a message at my doctor's office but wanted to ask here as well.

I went in for another beta this morning-----crossing my fingers those numbers went down!!!!

Thanks,
Lisa

Lisa: With my first m/c, I had cramping and bleeding, followed by bleeding (and then the cramping left, but the bleeding continued... a lot like a normal AF flow-wise, but it lasted a little longer) ... with my second m/c, I knew I was pg because I had a faint ++HPT and then a beta of something like 11, followed by bleeding (no cramping) the very next day. That AF too was like a normal AF. My m/cs were at 5 & 6 weeks. I've heard of women with later m/cs having more clotting, etc.

Hoping your beta goes DOWN... let us know when you can!
+++++++++++++++++++++++Good luck
Maura

I just had my misscarriage in September. I believe the pregnancy stopped progressing at 7 1/2 weeks, the actual miscarriage was at 11 weeks. I had a very long and VERY heavy af. And lots of clotting! Very large clots too. My bleeding was red the whole time. My normal af lasts 4 days, this lasted 6. At the time I didn't know it was a miscarriage, because although very different from my normal af it still resembled an af. I found out a month later when I got a very faint + hpt, and then a beta of 2.83. I thought I was preg then, but found out it was left over hormones from the miscarriage the month before.

Good luck to you, and I hope you get your +++++++++++++++++ very soon!

I had a m/c at 7 weeks and it was RED, too. It really wasn't too bad of a flow for me (usually really heavy) I do remember how red it was though-just thought that would make you feel better-seems normal to me. Hoping your betas go down as well!!
