tap tap waiting

Hi all

I am almost 100% positive that we did not get lucky this cycle. I had cramps that could choke a horse last week, and felt those familiar twinges. To be honest we pretty much knew this cycle was a bust, we just started to really try though I have been charting on Fertility friend. I am on CD 47 my min is 41, average is 49 max has been 58 days so I am still on target...I am going to start to temp this cycle, though from reading the stories on temps that kind of tells you AFTER the fact, which I am not sure what good that does?? Can someone help with that?

I will look fwd to having cycle buddies soon

Thanks for listening

Sheila

Hi She,

I wouldn't worry about symptoms too much. Early pg symptoms are usualy the same as AF symptoms. My motto for my cycles is: it ain't over til its over (which means a negative beta). So, don't give up hope just yet!

BBT is not useful in helping predict O, unless you have extremely regular cycles (in which case, you already know what day you O on each cycle, so BBTing isn't necessary anyway). BBT is useful in determining if you O'd in a given cycle, and will tell you how long your LP is (should be at least 12 days, preferably 14 + up).

Good luck!

hi shelia....temping is a hindsight kind of science, but extremely helpful in determining whether you're O'ing properly. it's also very useful in picking up other issues IE: LPD, progest issues, thyroid issues, etc.

if you have an extremely regular cycle, you might be able to predict O based on a dip (if you get one) but it doesnt sound like (based on the info you provided) that it would likely work for you that way.

more than likely, for you, it will be mainly *hindsight* but i still think you would benefit from temping.

let us know what we could do to help.

Hi Sheila! I think you have another more recent post, but I just wanted to say that I agree with the others about the benefits of temping and how you can't tell AF from pg by how you feel (since the feelings are similar).

I'll check that other post now!

Good luck++++++++++++++++
