new here ~ help w/ temping

Hi ladies

I'm new to this site & was wondering if I could get some help. This is my first month temping and I'm trying to figure out when the heck I'm gonna O.

My cycle last month was 36 days and I O'd on cd 21.

Will someone pls. look at my chart & let me know what you think?

Thanks so much

Hello and welcome!

I took a peek at your chart, no evidence that O has happened yet. If your cycles are regular, you should expect to O around the same time each month to within a couple of days, so based on last month's cycle you could O any day now.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to predict O using BBT. You will only see it a few days after it has happened. BBT is useful in determing whether in fact you do O in a given cycle, and it will tell you how long your LP is.

Good luck!

thanks:)

Another question...is there a difference in taking your temp orally as opposed to vaginally?

I wanted to see the difference so I just used it orally and it was 98.3 (not wake up time) and 99.4 vaginally.

Is one way better than the other?

Thanks again

hi jen...welcome

it doesnt look as if you've o'd yet. i thought you might have *possibly* O'd on cd 15 without a proper rise, but that would make your temps sitting below your coverline, not even on it.

i noticed you also have no CM notations for the last couple of days. are you still getting any?

also, there's no benefit to temping orally vs vaginally, or vica versa. however, the key is to remain consisitant in how you temp. temping vaginally might indeed yield a higher temp, but it's all relative.

one question....when did you test your theory of temping? i don't see any temps recorded at 98.3.

EDITED: to correct the foreigh language i was apparantly speaking. sorry, i must've been getting interupted a lot.

thanks again:)

No, no cm to speak of lately. I was having ewcm ~ had a bunch of it around my temp drop, although I think I forgot to put it on my chart...thought it could be pre~seed leaking out after 2 days but it wasn't...

I tested my *theory* this morning after I'd been up for a few hours, so no, it definitely wasn't my waking temp

I'm at a loss. I was feeling some twingy pains right around/after my temp drop but nothing much now. I know our bedroom is sometimes chilly and our son still sleeps with us and for the past few days has slept horribly due to nightmares/getting his 2yr molars (which means that *I* sleep horribly too). Could that have anything to do with my temp remaining the SAME for the past 4 days? lol Grasping for straws....lol

Thank you!
