aw honey ! I can understand how scared you must be!! Its so different for those of us who have had a m/c!! Im so sorry for that BTW..I m/c in June at 13wks~!

I dont know about the fluid retention, however I do think you should call your RE right away!!! It may be just a early pregnancy thing for you? Ya never know!! Try to be positive sweetie!! and GO CALL YOU DOC!! There is no sense in waiting and worrying if your doc can do what YOU pay HIM for! Ya know? I wish you all the luck in the world sweetie!!! Let us know!!

Hi Jonni: Karen's right... it might be something that happens to you in pg, regardless of how early ... I wouldn't think it means there's anything wrong with the pg, but I would definitely call the doctor and let them know about it ... maybe there's something they can do and if it's nothing to worry about, then you'll feel so much better!

Good luck and let us know what they say++++++++++++++

jonni......try and drink as much water as possible. water intake will help you release some of the water you're retaining.

Hi Jonni: How severe is the swelling? If it's really intense, then I would ask to be seen now, without waiting until Saturday. If it's just mild swelling, then I think waiting until Saturday is probably ok. One question, though. Are you going to see your doctor on Saturday or just have an ultrasound done? The reason I ask is because my u/s were never done by my OB and so I wouldn't have been able to talk over the swelling issue with the u/s doctor. If you are not going to be seeing YOUR doctor, then I think you should try to talk to him/her today or tomorrow (no offense to the nurse, but sometimes it's best to go directly to the horse's mouth).

Good luck and I hope you get some peace about this soon!

It depends..

The swelling 1-10 is about 4.5 and everytime I have had an u/s my RE has done it. So I will be seeing him I mean the swelling is only in my ankles though.....oh well I will wait I mean Maybe it is from salt....but i doubt it...who knows I will keep everyone posted after the u/s on saturday.
Thanks

Sometimes the nurses, although they mean well, dont always give us the information we need! I agree with Maura..you probably ought to call and ask to speak directly to your RE. If he/she is anything like mine, they will be HAPPY to talk to you!! It beats sitting and worrying ALL week long!! Remember you pay them to do you a service, dont be afraid to ask them a question about something that is bothering you this much! Stress does not help anything honey! Trust me, ask the other girls!! Im the QUEEN of stressing over silly stuff *wink Maura and Dina* I wish you all the best and CONGRATULATIONS!! Just keep positive thoughts!!
