Yet Another CM ?
Ok so my last question was last week during like my CD 10 - 14ish stage of my cycle I was getting quite a bit of CM. Now my OPK last mo said I didnt Ovulate until CD 20. This time I had all that CM and then Probably Friday CD 17 it was all gone and I havent hand any since. I am now ON CD 20 (Which was my O time last mo according to OPK) but NO CM at all. Anyone have any ideas? Could it be possible I O'd normally during the CD10 - CD16ish, when it said I O'd so late last months.
Some details about my cycle. Last mo was first AF since my m/c in August. Anywho any thoughts would be helpful. We have been BMS since CD10 every other day. Today being CD 20

Hi
: Yes, it is possible to O on different cds from month to month and it's normal . I tend to ovulate (or did when I was tracking such things ) anywhere between cd 12 and cd 20. If your cm is now all gone, chances are you did O already.Did you OPK at all this month? If so, what did the OPKs look like? All the best and keep us posted++++++++++++++ Maura p.s. But if your cm returns, then resume BMS just in case !

Hey Maura - Nope did no OPK this month - wasnt sure how accurate as we didnt get pg last month. so wanted to be more casual about it. So we just said we will have sex every other day starting on CD 10 - 24 to make sure we hit it. But We did it on CD18 and it is CD20 and I have a crappy cold and dont feel like it. Do you think it is safe to wait till tomorrow or should I stay on the ev other nite regiment and make sure it gets done tonight?

Hi: I'm sorry to hear about your cold
. If you've been BMSing every other day and have no cm, then I wouldn't worry about missing today. If you notice cm tomorrow and feel like it, then you could always throw another one in for good measure .Good luck and let us know how this cycle turns out+++++++++++ Maura |

Maura help me again
ANyone that can offer some help. Concerned. My Cm was that sticky consistency last night but we did it anyway (CD22) just to make sure we caught it cuz the last day we bMS'd on was CD18 and I basically have had no CM from CD 20 until today. So Im CD 23 and I have quite a bit of CM and it is very stretchy again. Im SO confused - could I be ovulating this late??? Does it have to do with having BMS last night? Im scared because Dr's fear I have that luteal phase defect and If Im O'ing this late. But why did I have so much last week then also? UH Any help - sorry to rample. M |

It is common to have several waves of fertile-looking cm during the cycle. Unless you are totally positive about cm, it can be somewhat unreliable. I know you are trying to keep things casual, but BBTing would help too. It might not help with timing of BMS, but at least you will know when you ovulated and you can see how long your luteal phase is.
Do you have regular cycles? If so, then you can be reasonably sure that you will O around the same time each month (to within a few days). BMSing every other day, like you've been doing, means you'll likely hit O, or bracket it, which is fine too. Good luck! |

Hi there: Yes, cm can come and go during the cycle and even though the general pattern is to dry up after O, you can have what seems like fertile cm after O ... what I would do (because I never wanted to take a chance) is to BMS again now just in case you didn't O last week. And make sure you record this cm information (exactly what cds it returned) so that if this cycle you don't end up pg, you can try to figure out when O was and how long your LP was). But let's hope you DO end up pg!
Good luck and keep us posted+++++++++++++ Maura |
