Hi Shannon: Sometimes when the initial beta is SO great and there's no reason to think anything is wrong (as here), doctors won't give a repeat beta because there's just no need. I think it's a vote of confidence from your doctor!

Good luck with your u/s and keep in touch+++++++++

i agree with maura. my doc never sent me back for a repeat beta b/c she was completely satisfied with my numbers and had also scheduled me for an u/s within a few weeks time.

Jut wanted to add.... for those who DO get a repeat beta, it doesn't mean that your doctor is NOT giving you a vote of confidence! Sometimes doctors just order 2 betas, 48 hours apart, as a matter of protocol. Or if a woman had had repeat m/cs, they'll order it just to make sure the number is going up well (even if the starting number is great).... Didn't want anyone to feel bad if they are sent back for another beta!!!

++++++++++++++++
