Clomid dosage question....(cross-post)

Hi ladies...

I am getting ready for my second cycle on clomid after being on 50 mg days 5-9. My md said I can take 100 mg days 5-9 or just stay at 50mg due to the s/e last month. I had a progesterone level of 7.9 on about 4-5 dpo. So, the Dr thinks I Oed but thinks 100mg could be better......

What do you guys know after being on it?? What are your feelings from past months?? Any thoughts, feelings are well welcomed.....Please and Thank you!!

Hugs! Kat

I took 50mg of clomid my first cycle and 150mg with my second. I really didn't see a big difference with the higher dose. On the other hand neither cycle worked for me so that might make the difference too.

Hi Kat: I'd go with your doctor's recommendation... if she thinks you could do better with a higher dosage, why not try it? Maybe you'll follow in Shannon's footsteps! On the other hand, if you don't feel comfortable with going higher, sounds like your doctor thinks that would be fine too. Just follow your gut!

Good luck and keep us posted++++++++

HI Ladies!!

I am going for the 100mg!! And DH came back with a normal S/A so we know it is not him... I did not get a number, due to the PA giving me the A-OK!! The next time I have an office visit I will ask, and hubby wants to know his count too ( he will try to get that form his pcp)

I will start temping when I am finished with the clomid.... since it makes you go up and down anyways.... Our target date for O is on 9/11... kinda hard to forget... so it will be a happy and sad day. My charting program was actually correct for this last month on AF, so I think I have it working properly now too... hehehe... only tool about 8 months to get it to fit me!!

Well.... you better sending me bay dust shannon..... thanks you guys for the support!! I really need it!! I do not have many pple I can tell and those at work are SICK of the mood swings...hehehe... here they come again!! My pharmacist was like, OMG we have to go through all that again

I will keep you all posted!! Luv you guys!! Kat

Hi Kat! I'm so happy to hear about dh's SA! What a relief to be able to eliminate a whole host of potential issues .... maybe this next O will do the trick!

Keep in touch and good luck!
