Another IVF question (how often?)

How often can you do IVF/ICSI cycle? Month after month or twice a year or every other month?
Please respond if you know.

anna...i'm sorry i'm not too well versed in IVF. i know you have to go through a certain regimin of med's in order to do an IVF cycle, and there has to be a certain bodily response (ie: mature follies for retreval) in order to have a successful cycle.

if you go to the IVF bb, which is listed under the Infertility section, i'm certain you'll get lots of feedback from the seasoned IVF'rs there.

HI Anna, when I was in TTC I did one cycle of IVF and it didn't work. I was schedule to do another round the next cycle but developed cysts and had to sit a cycle out and that's when I got pg with my DD who just turned 2 on Saturday. I guess it all depends on the IVF clinic's policy.

Yes. The only thing that will cancel the IVF stimulations is poor response or cysts. It can be a blow to one's hopes and spirit, cause distress. Yo can have your TTC mapped out to a "T" but bear in mind anything can happen. Understand, however, that the decision to cancel a cycle can sometimes lead to a better chance of succes in a future cycle. After my 1st failed IVF I was scheduled for a FET but it was cancelled because of cysts. I can't begin to tell you hope disappointed, angry, sad, hopeless I felt. I told myself I wasn't going to let another cycle go back w/o trying on my own. No sir. And God heard my prayers for the million time and blessed me with a baby.
