Question and why do we temp??

Does anyone stop temping after getting O??? My temps have been slowly going downward... 98.6, 98.36, 98.06, 97.97.... Is temping after O going to cause any more unneeded stress??? I am still way above my coverline, but it is like..... is it worth it??

Sigh.... hate temping....lol!! Anyone else thinking the same or have stopped temping after O??

Best wishes to all!! Kat

Hey girl....

I really dont have an answer for you but you have always been gracious enough to leave your thoughts on my posts. I wanted to do the same for you....

I use fertility friend to gauge my . After it "said" that I ovulated, I did quit temping. I know what my coverline was so....I just take it from time to time to see if Im still parr for the course!

I hope the best for this cycle..... NO STRESS ALLOWED!

Hi Kat: Lots of people stop temping after O has been confirmed... if it causes you too much stress, I say stow the thermometer away in your LP!

Good luck and keep us posted++++++++++++

Hi There !
I know how stressful it is to temp after O , you only want to see your temps going up .But temping after you O is good because according to the book Taking Charge OF Your Fertility if you get 18 or more high temps you definitely know that you are PG ! Goodluck to you !

Twinkle.

kat.....i agree with the other girls. no need to stress yourself out. once temping has provided you with the info that you need, you can stop. i personally am too much of a "type A" personality to stop. way too anal

I know, I know.... must see the high levels.... lol!!! I also have the book... TCOYF.... love it and hate it... snicker, snicker!! Like just this morning... I really had to go potty, so I temped ( it was 5:30) and it was 97.8.. but then I went back to bed and temped about 7 ish and it was 98.1.... least they are both over my coverline... but even with the temp... I was up and not in bed for more than 2½ hours... My normal time is about 6:45 to about 7:15am.
If there is a next month, I may TRY to not BBT after the few days after O. It is not like I am worried about the temping... it is the actual temp!! I did call my dr back and give them a pharmacy number for if this is not the month. Is it still reverse psychology if you know you are doing it??!! hehehe!!

Take care everyone!! Kat
