Clearblue easy monitor and pcos?
Hi! I am going to begin using a Clearblue Easy fertility monitor this cycle and was wondering if anyone has had success with this and PCOS? I've only used the sticks before and never got anywhere with them. Thanks so much!

Hi: I don't have PCOS and I didn't use the Monitor, so I hope someone with experience jumps in
! Just wanted to "opine" that I don't think the Monitor would be that much better than regular old stick OPKs if those didn't work for you... but you never know, so again, I hope someone has some information for you! Also, have you posted this question on the PCOS bb?Good luck and keep us posted++++++++++ Maura |

Hi,
I don't have PCOS, but I wasn't ovulating as I discovered using the monitor. I'm now on femara (like clomid) and can distinctly see when the peak 2 days hit. Before that, my cycles were anywhere from 5-7 weeks long and it was impossible with OPK's to figure out when to test. Once I had the monitor, it cycled from low to high (but never peaked). When I went to the RE, I found out why. Depending on your cycle, I would try it for a bit, see what your cycle looks like, and then decide what your next step should be. At the very least, you won't feel like you might have missed your window. Good luck! |

Hi guys,
Thanks for the info--my doctor doesn't like the sticks or BBTs, but he never said anything about the monitors, so we'll see. I have a friend who doesn't need hers anymore and she offered it to me too! I tried clomid and femara, and the femara worked better but never gave us a BFP. Since we're in-between treatments, I want to maximize our odds too. Anyways, we'll see what happens! Thanks again!

Good Luck M!
You might want to visit the clear blue website before you start though. There's something as I recall about resetting it if it has a new user since it "remembers" your cycle from month to month. Also, you have to start using it between cd 1-5. Just a quirk of the product. |

This site tells you how to reset it as if it were never used!! I did it and it looked like the pic in the book. Best Wishes! Kat |
