Hi again. Do you have any male factor issues? If not, then you might think about BMS on cd 13, 15, 17, 18 and 19. If you want to BMS only every other day, then you might want to shift the BMS days and schedule them for cd 14, 16 and 18 (and then I would still throw in a cd 19 just for safety).

Have you considered temping and/or OPKs?

All the best and keep us posted+++++++++++++++

As far as my dh's sperm goes -- he's fine. Our male factor is that he has a low sex drive . Every other day is about all can hope for at this point. Is it better to have bms on the day of O or the day before? I have used the opk sticks and I get positives on cd18 & 19. Honestly, if we pull off four times in one week it will be the first time!! Maybe that's why we haven't been successful yet!!

Thanks for caring you guys. I'll keep you posted!

i would make sure you get cd's 18 & 19 in there no matter what. how about cd 16, 18, 19...and if there's anyway you can bribe your dh, i would throw in day 20. not sure how that would work tho, anytime i have to bribe my dh it's with a little extra "something" LOL.....

LOL...I know what you mean. He just doesn't even respond to bribes!! I don't think we could do it more than every other day. I have heard that the sperm can survive in the tubes for up to 5 days so I thought we would start early like cd13 or 14 and then go every other day until O. Here's to tryin'!! Thanks for the support.

ok, well good luck!!!!!!

and yes, my dd was conceived on cd 14-15 from BMS (which was NOT supposed to be "BMS") on cd11, so they can survive for quite a while. and it only takes one

Ok, here's what I would do. Assuming no ++OPK yet, I would BMS on cds 14 and 16 (and if not cd 14 because you don't want to burn out too early), then at least cd 16)... then assuming you get your ++OPK on cd 18, I would BMS on cd 18, cd 19 and cd 20. I know that's a lot, but that's really the best way to get pg!

BMS on O day is better than BMS the day before just because how long sperm survives is variable, depending on cm. Sperm has been known to survive for 5 days, but that takes some really really good sperm to hang out in! A more realistic window is 1-3 days.

If you don't think your dh will do all of those days, then at least do cds 16, 18-19. Hey, that's only 3 days, right?!

Good luck and keep us posted++++++++++++

Those are some great tips. I think we will wait to start the every other day bms until cd15 or 16 just so he doesn't burn out too early. Our doctor told us not to do it everyday b/c it there will be less sperm.

Here's a question -- if I get a +opk in the morning (first pee) should we do it in the morning or can we wait until after work in the evening?

Thanks Again!

Hi: If you get a ++OPK in the morning, BMS any time that day is fine, so if you're in the mood in the morning, go for it, but otherwise you can certainly wait until after work!

All the best+++++++++++++

actually the best time to OPK is in the afternoon b/t 2-4pm. the reason is because that's when most women will pick up the beginning of their surge. so if you test in the morning and it's neg, you won't test again until the following morning, when in essence you could've surged the afternoon before.

it's perfectly fine to BMS on the night you get your surge. good luck!

Thanks! cd14 is on Monday so I think we'll start then. Has anyone used Mucinex for cm before? Are there any side effects? How long does it take to start working?
