I wanted to know if there was a way to increase the CM and thin it ?

Twinkle-
Guafenesin will thin cm. You can buy PLAIN Robitussin (no other active ingredients than guaf.) or in pill form (and extended release so you don't have to take it but once a day) Mucinex. I take Mucinex and it works well for me.
And, yes, drink lots of water!
