BBT Confusion

Ok really confused! I know most peoples temp drops the day before their period. So today is my day I always take my temp at 5:00am and 97 is my high. However, since I was worried about my temp dropping I could not sleep at all. I woke up at 4:00 and could not go back to sleep. My temp at 4:00 was 96.89. Lower than normal. I was not happy so I took it again at 5:00 though i could hardly sleep between times and it was back up to the 97.07. Could I still be pregnant or am i just wishfull thinking? Can an hour make a difference?

hi....

an hour will make a difference of approximately 2/10ths of a degree. based on your 4am temp, the rule that applies would bring you back up to 97. generally speaking, once you're awake and possible moving around in bed, the temp becomes unreliable, but seeing as tho you took it as soon as you awoke, i'm looking it at from the "early temping" point of view.

i wish you luck and hope your temp stays up!!

Relax

HI There !
I can understand the anxiety with the temps you are having and you are not alone in that. When i sleep in the night i sleep with the hope that my temp. is going to be higher in the morning and because of this anxiety i get up so many times in the night . I think we just need to relax and take it easy ( easier said than done) and hope for the best .

Goodluck !

Twinkle.
