OPK...Ugh!
Hi All. I am awaiting IUI #4. I am not monitored, 'cause I O on my own, so I go in 24 hours after my LH surge is shown on an OPK. I have been testing every morning (as per my doc's request) since day 10 (it is now day 14). This morning's result was very confusing. The lines are almost the same (usually the test line is darker than the reference line...giving me a definite positive). I know that the directions say that the line has to be "as dark or darker", but I don't want to IUI too early. I am going to test again in a little while and see what I find. Any OPK experts out there?

Hi shush: I would test again today, just to see what the line has done. It might be that you tested right as the surge was beginning and that if you test later today, you'll get your unambiguous ++.
Good luck and keep us posted+++++++++++++ Maura |

Thanks Maura. I tested again a few minutes ago. The test line was as dark as the reference line with a much darker line going through one side of the test line (if that even makes sense). I am assuming that this is a positive, so I am going to call the doc's office to schedule IUI for tomorrow.
