Hi Twinkle: I never took Prometrium, but I have read that it can cause hot flashes, so maybe you're a little warmer than usual because of it.

As for how many dpo do you have to be before you can get a ++blood pg test, it all depends on when you implant. For example, it's possible to get a ++ beta at 8 dpo, but you need to have implanted before that .... since implantation can take place all the way up to 12 dpo, even a beta can show a false negative if done at 8 dpo in such a cycle.

Some doctors won't give betas before 12-14 dpo. I talked my doctor into a beta at 10 dpo because I had had a ++HPT and prior pg losses and wanted to confirm the pg so that I would know if I was having another loss (luckily I didn't).

Good luck and keep us posted+++++++++++++

Twinkle, I was on prometrium recently and I had major hot flashes, actually I am still having them and I stopped taking it over a week ago.

Best of luck to you.

twinkle.that "warm" feeling can definitely be caused by the prometrium. the natural affect on the body is increased temp. it's just one of the lovely side affects of taking progesterone
