How long are OPK's ++ after Ovulation??

Aloha ladies! I have a question? I got my a pos opk on cd 16 at 9pm. I went in for IUI cd 18. Maybe I am nuts but I am still using opks and still getting positive no matter what time of day I am testing. I am 2dpiui. Just curious as to how long can opks stay pos after ovulation? I am going to continue to test until this box is gone. This is my first cycle that I have gotten a pos opk!! I am going to drive myself nutty during 2ww!! Thank you!!

hi bobbie...

are sure they're positive? you can still have a line on an OPK and it be "negative." it would seem a little unusual to have pos OPK's for so many days, but i'm sure it happens. it could be your LH levels drop off very slowly, or it could be b/c of your PCOS. with PCOS you can have constant elevated LH levels at any time of your cycle.

I usually don't have a prob with opks and my pcos as long as I don't test first thing in the morning. I took one today and although the line was still dark it wasn't quite dark enough to be positive. I guess the surge stuck around awhile? Thanks Dina!

it sounds like you must have a slow drop off of LH. the important thing is that you picked up your surge!

good luck! hope your 2ww goes fast.
