New here and starting clomid for first time, nervous and excited!!!

Hi All,
My husand (34) and I (27) have been TTC for several years and are not about to start clomid. I went in for a baseline ultra sound and my uterus lining was thick so I am taking provera so I can bring on a period and begin taking clomid. I have been told I will take clomid for days 3-7 and then start testing with OPK days 11-14 and when I surge I will go in for an ultra sound and if everything looks good and the eggs are developing fine, then I will get an injection of HCG and them will have timed intercoarse for next two nights and then a week later I will have a blood test to check the levels of progesterone? and then the next week take a pregnancy test. I know a lot of you may have tried clomid or are currently trying clomid, any advise? Does what I am going to be doing sound normal? Thank you!!!!
Zoe

Also, what is the best time of day to take a OPK? I heard you shouldn't test first thing in the morning? Is this true?

hi zoe...welcome

your course of action sounds well planned out. i don't have any personal experience with clomid, but i know many women tend to get mood swings. it also has a "drying" affect on CM.

as for the OPK, the best time to test and catch your surge is during the afternoon hours of 12-4pm.

please keep us updated so we can cheer you on.

best wishes for short stay here and quick success!
