okay, what is going on?

i opk tested again the last two days and lighter line after stronger one and then again last night stronger line - same color as test line, but not quite as wide if you know what i mean.

i went to my ob two days ago and he said that it is possible that i could and would ovulate, just based on getting the line and the way my stomach looked??? so, bms, night before last, not last night, too tired.

hum, then last night, i had some spotting??????????? back ache and tired, a little weird feeling. temp was 98.4 then 97.9. i should not get my period til aug 14, so what's up?

i don't know what to think, once again. i trust my RE, but OB has never really agreed on the turners and my not being able to conceive. he wants to do an ultrasound aug 30 to look at ovaries and see if anything is there and bloodwork-i don't really want to get my hopes up, but, praying for a miracle

Hi: Maybe the spotting was ovulatory spotting, which is normal. I'm a little confused by your temps... what exactly have they been doing? If you have the temps for the past 6 days, including today, I'd love to see them!

I'd throw in some more BMS if you are up to it, since you could be Oing now or soon or have O'd recently!

Good luck and keep us posted++++++++++

thanks maura

a little upset no bms last night, but hopefully tonight.

i was a little unclear on what temps tell. do you know how to tell by temp? i only took it those two days. i think ob said if it is 98 or above and then 97 you ovulated??? he is chinese and a little hard to understand

thanks for your help. i really hope the spotting that happened is a GOOD sign it is definitely something i normally don't get.

Hi there. For temps to mean anything, you have to take them every day of your cycle... if you do, then you should be able to tell whether you have ovulated by whether your temps had a sustained rise. By sustained rise, I mean that when ovulation takes place, increased progesterone from O will cause the body to heat up ... this will cause your waking temp to rise, ideally by at least .2 degree higher than your previous 6 temps before the rise.

For some people, their temps before O are all under 98.0 and post-O, their temps are all above 98.0. But this is BY NO MEANS the pattern for all women, or maybe even for most women! Some people have temps in the low 97's before O, then temps in the high 97's after O. You need to record your temps to be able to see a pattern.

Are you planning to continue temping? If so, then we can help you decipher the temps! You need to make sure to take your temp each day around the same time, when you first wake up, before doing anything. If you wake up at different times, just make sure you record what time you took it. It's more important that you take it upon waking than that you take it at the exact same time each day (although it's helpful if it can be around the same time).

Good luck and let us know how you're doing++++++++++

Hi again: Usually just a day or perhaps two, at most. What you describe sounds like it really could be ovulatory spotting.

Good luck and keep us posted++++++++++++

hi maura

spotting has pretty much stopped today and i tested again last night and line was pretty much completely gone on opk!!! had bms again yesterday, now i just kinda have this achy kind of feeling down there. REALLY REALLY hope this is a miracle.

ps. kinda concerned since i take estrogen 14 days and then progesterone with estrogen for 14 days to regulate af. i do not start progesterone till sunday that if this is a miracle and i do get pregnant- what if there is not enough progesterone to support it? i called RE to tell them what is going on, left message. however, if I am able and do get pregnant-IT IS TRUELY A MIRACLE OF GOD!!!-and he would take care of the hormone thing, right!

thanks maura!!!

Morning. Let us know what the doctor thinks about your hormone supps... if you get pg, your prog. level might be just fine on its own... perhaps you could get a progesterone test in a week to see whether you have O'd and if so, whether it's sufficient to support a pg... check with your doctor about this!

GOOD LUCK and keep us posted+++++++++
