LH Surge

i was wondering if anyone could tell me about the LH surge on OPKs. i am on cd19 and have been OPKing since cd12. i am also taking clomid and know this can puch back my O. on cd12-17 there was a light surge line. then on cd18 and today the surge line was still not as dark as the reference line, but it was darker. i also had to start a new pack of tests today. i bought the generic clearblue since i was already using clearblue.
this is what i am wondering. is it possible that i missed my surge detection? i am taking these OPKs everday around 2pm. today i noticed that i had A LOT of cm. i could feel it like when AF comes. i got home and checked and there was A LOT. that made me think that i was getting ready to O. andy ideas or advice would be wonderful! thanks!

no, if you're testing everyday at the same time, i highly doubt you'd miss your surge. sounds to me like your body is gearing up right now. i bet you get your "dark" surge line in the next couple of days. which is a totally normal time frame for a clomid user.

good luck!

today is cd20 and my surge still hasn't happened. i got a strong reference line and a pretty good LH line, but still not as dark as the ref. line. we are still going to BMS tonight as the dr. recommended. i am beginning to think it is getting too late to O at all. if i O tomorrow that would put AF around cd35. that is really late! of course, i took a high dosage this month, so maybe that could push me further back. month 1 i took 50mg of clomid and got AF on cd29. last month i took 100mg and got AF on cd33. it's a good theory!

it's actually an excellent theory

according to your line (being almost as dark) i'd say you're right there. so BMS'ing tonite would be great!

P.S. to O anytime up to cd 22 (while on clomid) is totally normal! good luck.

hey gals. well here is the report for today (cd21) . i took the OPK at the same time as usual. the surge line was still not as dark as the ref. line, but it was a stronger line than yesterday. it was very close! so here is what i wonder...could that have possibly been a +OPK? i am going to test again tomorrow and hold out hope...my dh and i could always BMS if we need to.

Hi there: If the result line is not as dark as the reference line, then technically it's still a negative, but it sounds like you might be going to surge very soon... as for BMS, it can only help, right?!

Good luck and keep us posted+++++++++

So close...

well today is cd22. i got a stronger line today than yesterday. it was as closer to the ref. line than any other day yet, but it was still off just a little. we are going to BMS tonight just in case AGAIN. i am wondering if i should stop testing or wait until the surge line gets lighter?

You are getting so close. Just keep testing and BMSing until you get the darker line. I'll say any day now and you will get your +OPK. Remember the last day of ANY CM is considered your peak day. So if you have any CM after your +OPK keep bmsing. Hey what the heck, throw in a bonus BMS...teehee!!!

Good luck
