so...tell me about YOUR cycles.

Specifically if you ovulated. heh. Im trying to figure out if most people see a pattern when they ovulate and its pretty much the same sort of process each month or if its a new cycle with a new pattern each month?

As i said in a previous post, last cycle was soooo nice. My temps were nice, i had a nice fade in pattern on my opks with a very positive on cd 13 and went on to ovulate later that evening with a nice clear thermal shift the next morning on cd 14. Stayed above my coverline until AF arrived in full force on cd 26 (little early imho as i started to spot on 11dpo, seeing the dr tomorrow about that and see if he feels that progestrone support is needed).

Now this month temps arent as nice looking but nothing TOO awful, its not like my annovulatory cycles where it looked like the rocky mountains, but still it worries me. So i had a negative opk yesterday (cd 12), negative opk today (cd 13), but am feeling a little more going on in the ovary area so im not too worried yet. I DID take my clomid a day later in hopes of pushing back O from cd 13 from last month to a little later (so far working even tho dh got home from the road early yesterday so i COULD have taken my clomid cd 3-7 like last month and been ok )

You folks that ovulate regularly or on clomid, how were your cycles?. Did they tend to be about the same as far as ovulating, o days, positive opk days etc?

Yes im obsessing and im afraid i wont ovulate this cycle and it will be another wasted month. Seems like i worry even more because i KNOW there will be months that Dh wont be able to get home at the appropriate time and it just feels like another kink in the chain and each cycle that he does manage to get home i want every opportunity to make it work.

hi julie! i, too, am obsessing about my cycle. my dh and i are trying for our first after a m/c in january. i am on my third round of clomid and took 150mg this month. i have never been a regualar gal, and i am presently trying to learn to read my cycles so that i will know if i even O. and yes, it is making me crazy!
today is cd16 for me. i am using OPKs and have been since cd12. no surge yet. my reference line is also not very strong on the clearblue opk. i can't tell a thing other than that. i am not temping. i probably should be. i was afraid it would make me even more crazy!
i am afraid that i am simply not going to O this month and will also have wasted another month. the clomid has made my CM very dry also. i am sucking down guafinessin like it is water in hopes that it will help. what if i O and then don't have good CM? another thought on my mind...
to let you know, on my first month with clomid (50mg), i had AF on cd29. last month i was on cd33 when it appeared. both times and every time since i got off b/c my periods have been very very light.
i want to be positive, but it is hard. i really feel like the clomid this month is just another hoop to jump through before my gyn dr. will refer me to an ER.
i am open to any suggestions or comments to give me peace the next 2 weeks...

hi julie...

i've always had an extremely regular 28 day cycle with no O issues. it seemed my cycle never much varied except for the occassional change in O date. instead of cd 14, it might have been 13 or 15. i get all of the typical O signs, including ewcm for a few days leading up to O, O pain, and usually my O day would bring a really low temp. i got a very definitive temp spike after O. my temp charts would vary a little in the sense that there's always dips and spikes in both phases, however you could look at my chart and see a definitive shift.

are you charting online? if so, can you link us up so we can take a look at it?

Sure! Thanks for looking at it.

http://www2.fertilityfriend.com/home/366f

Its cd 14 today and dont have any of the EWCM i had last month so im not feeling too optimistic.

I cant understand why clomid would make me O last month and not this month. Its really aggravating I had an u/s last month but figured i didnt need to put out the extra expense since things went so nicely last month. Now im wishing i had. Atleast i might have known what was going on and if it was working.

On the upside of things i have a dr appt in a couple hours. One to discuss my 11dpo spotting and AF showing up so early. I just dont think my lining should start to shed at 11dpo. Maybe i just need a higher dosage of clomid and last month was just freakish and it worked but still wasnt strong enough obviously with af showing up so early.

I am taking my chart from last month and so far this month and see what he says. I'm hoping (its doubtful) that he could slip me in to see if i was even close to o-ing or it might happen in a few days. If not id like to go ahead and start taking my prometrium and get things over with so i can try again next month. I was so surprised that i o'd so early last month...cd 13!!. Maybe that was just a fluke, hence the questions about how consistant folks O on the same day.

ARGH

julie....your chart looks good so far, although no O yet. in actuality, you O'ing on cd 13 (while on clomid) last cycle is considered early.

here's a question for you (don't know if you've discussed this with your doc at all)....

i see in your sig that you've had an ovary removed. now seeing as tho we (technically) are suppose to alternate the ovaries from which we O, does that mean you will only O every other month? or will taking the clomid prompt the remaining O to work each month as opposed to every other month?

if you O from the same ovary each month, i would absolutely give it more time before taking the prometrium. most clomid users don't O until cd 17-22. if the dosage was enpugh last month, i would think it would be enough for this month. but it's too early in your cycle to throw in the towel. hang in there. and let us know what happens at your appt.

Back from the appointment.

Dont feel a ton better but some. My dr says that the alternating ovary theory is a myth (which is good because that would add to my annoyance). He is a bit stumped but said that i shouldnt throw in the towel just yet (as you said ) He is also saying from now on we'll be doing u/s regardless (he was trying to be nice and save me money but feels like every cycle should be monitored regardless, so thats what we'll do, just pay for them and move on i guess)

He told me last cycle that my follicle and lining was beautiful (im not sure how i could put it in them terms but hey..he's the doc...right?) so he is perplexed as to why i wouldnt o this month (assuming that i dont). He said give it a few more days and see what happens. Then we'll start again with an increased dosage and u/s like last month.

BAH i say....this is so frustrating.

He also kept my chart from last month. Said it was perfect and wanted to show his staff as they were discussing bbt with the nurses and they were CLUELESS (i go to an obgyn and he is fabulous!! will refer me to an RE when he feels he cant help me anymore)

So i guess ill keep temping and opking...hopefully something will happen.

edit to add: ohhh....well...i know this is TMI but the last few days ive had very lotiony CM, just checked and im moving into the slippery clear stuff, its even stretchy. Negative OPK but i had some last month and a negative for a couple days, so maybe..just maybe its coming! i hope i hope!
